Hear from Renae Oswald
Renae is an Idaho girl, the only baby born in the Driggs hospital that year on Father’s Day, it started her life out as being “the spoiled one” from the very beginning!
Renae’s family moved from Jackson Hole to St. Anthony and settled in Ammon. Renae graduated from Bonneville High School and married her high school sweetheart, Kevin, in 1990. They have 3 children, 2 are married and one is attending Rigby High School.
Renae graduated from Rick’s College nursing school in 1990 and became an RN. She went on to get her BSN through ISU and her MSN through Western Governors University. Renae has worked in healthcare for 29 years. 26 of those years were spent at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center with 20 of those years being in leadership and the last 5 of those at an executive level. She has a nursing home administrator license (NHA), is a board-certified nurse executive (NE-BC), and has her certification in executive nursing practice (CENP). She is currently the Administrator of the Idaho & Wyoming branch for Nuclear Care Partners, an in-home care provider that cares for former atomic workers.
Renae and her husband own Oswald Service and Repair, they are third-generation owners. The business was originally started in Idaho Falls in 1939 by Kevin’s grandfather, 2019 marks our 80th anniversary! Oswald Service and Repair recently expanded to Rexburg and has a new location on 2nd East.
In October of 2018, Renae started a podcast called East Idaho Entrepreneurs. She interviews local business owners, entrepreneurs and influencers and helps them tell their origin stories. She hopes that this will be an avenue for us to be inspired and help us all to get to know their neighbors better.
Renae is passionate about accountability and considers herself an “accountability guru” having been trained by the author of The 85% Solution, Linda Galindo.
Moderated by Ryan Harris
Ryan has been a serial entrepreneur since his early years. He has started and built 3 separate successful companies over the last 10 years in his journey of entrepreneurship. Most recently he has found a passion for understanding customers and why they go down the decision making paths they do. Why they make a decision to purchase one product or service over another. In this journey he has identified ways to best understand each customer, and speak to each customer in a way that gives them what they need when they need to make a purchasing decision. Ryan has a Civil Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from the University of Idaho.
